It’s 10:04pm now and usually at this time I should be preparing to go back to camp. Going back to camp is probably the worst time of the week. Today is slightly different, I will be staying at home because I have a medical appointment tomorrow afternoon. It’s a good thing for me, buying a little more time to do some more work.

My dogs are in the room, my girlfriend is beside me revising for her exams and I’m right here writing this blog post sharing with you what I have do for this week.

Before I move on, did you notice the blog title is a little different? The date is different! Usually I will put it in numeric format but I thought if I put 20/04/08 (Day/Month/Year) it will be a little confusing since in America the month will come first, just like this… 04/20/08 (Month/Day/Year). Anyway spelling the date out will be much clearer.

Taking it to the next level

If you know me long enough, you probably know what I have been doing for the past 1 year. I’m an Internet and Network marketer. Selling affiliate products mostly from ClickBank and promoting my network marketing business and last but not least making some money from my blog.

So for the pass 3 months I have been secretly planning 2 businesses that I’m going to develop. One is a dog niche and the other is a skating niche. I’m not going to reveal much about them at this moment but both of this project are picking up nicely and will be launch later this year. There are more things I need to do now. Developing your very own business from scratch is definitely a tougher and more challenging task. As compare to being an affiliate marketer and network marketer, all I need to do is to use the marketing tools the owner or company provides and market the product. All I need to do is to market the product. I’m just a marketer.

Few days back I was talking about being an entrepreneur-minded network marketer. Putting the entrepreneur side of you and the marketing side of you together is crucial to build a successful network marketing team.

It’s exactly the same principles when it comes to building your own business from scratch. Everything such as accounting, marketing, product creation, designing, copywriting, operation and finance has to be taken care of by the business owner. Oh, don’t get me wrong, what I meant by “taken care of” is to manage the different aspects of the business. You can have employees helping you out with your work and ultimately you need to make sure everything is running smoothly.

Now, that’s what an entrepreneur will look or sound like.

Learning point of the week

I have learn something very important this week. In order to grow or expand your business you have to work on your business NOT in your business. Only your employees work in your business but you need to work ON your business where you have to take charge of every single aspect of your business. This is when you need to develop the entrepreneur side of you!
