You must be wondering what the heck is “AHOW”?
Come to think of that, my team give a funny twist to it. When pronounce “A-HOW” in one of our local dialect, it means “know how”. Its a “know how” workshop and thats what it is all about.
Anyway its the short form of Accelerated Hands-On Workshop aka AHOW, an internet workshop that was held last Saturday, 3rd Feb 07 to help our members to grow their Success University business online.
Its a solid 1 day packed workshop, starting from 9am - 5pm. However we went into over time till 7pm due to the amount of topic we need to cover on that day and I was glad to see our members going back happy with their newly learned internet skill and knowledge.
I would really highly recommend anyone that wants to start an online business to attend this course. I often heard friends saying, “Hey Terry!, I have join so and so internet coaching club and its great!”. But guess what, when I asked them if they know how to set up their hosting, autoresponder or even a simple blog. Their reply will be… “Yes I know what an autoresponder does and I’m going to try using it soon.” Well I guess its obvious that they have not get their hands on it yet.
So here’s a glimpse of what was covered during the workshop…
1. Uncover your core desire
I did not expect this to be part of the lesson but I was glad it did. Long story short, when you define your core desire, its the driver to your success.
Why?
Here’s a true example from me. Yes, everyone wants to make lots of money but why only a small percentage of people succeed? That’s because what they want is more than just money. For me, I want to buy a nice luxury car and big house for my dad and family. This may seem to be my core desire, as I went on deeper, asking me why I want a nice car and a nice house for my dad and family… my answer was I want them to live happy lifestyle never to worry about money, I want them to enjoy life.
Yes, you may say money is not the most important thing in life but everything that are important to you needs money.
When you uncover your greatest core desire, its much bigger than you and definitely much greater then money.

2. How to set up your hosting and domain.
Woah… This seems to be a tough and difficult topic. Let’s keep it simple, your hosting is like your shop where you keep all your goods and stuff (in this case, is what you have to offer on your website). A domain name is like your brand name or logo, which differentiates you from your competitors.
I hope thats easy to understand… well anyway you get a domain name for less than $10 a year at www.godaddy.com. If you are looking for a hosting company, I would recommend you www.hostgator.com the one that Im using.
3. How to set up your autoresponder
Does it ring a bell when you hear the word autoresponder? Its a commonly used word in the world of internet marketing. So whats an autoresoponder?
Its basically an email marketing system that captures you customer data, automates your email marketing campaign and much much more… There’s too much to say about it and if I go on, it will never end. So here’s the autoresponder Im using, www.getresponse.com so check it out…
4. How to set up your blog
Blog, Blog, Blogs… by now you should know what a blog is huh? I believe so, it has been a popular buzz among internet users, especially among school students and teenagers. So what as a blog got to do with making money online? Well, a blog can attract a good amount of traffic and building good relationship with your customers. So if you haven got one, go get one now at www.blogger.com

All these are the fundamental of starting your very one automated online business… Besides all these, you need to work on driving traffic and converting them. I will discuss about traffic generation later… So stay tuned.
