I started of with article marketing when I being marketing online. Until now it has worked for me not only in network marketing but also for other niches. Tonight, I’m going talk about how and why you can use article marketing as one of your traffic generation strategies for your network marketing business.

Let’s get into the meat now.

We all know that in network marketing, leadership is important and an essential skill. In order that to succeed in network marketing big time you have to cultivate leadership skills. It’s a MUST and frankly it’s not about if you have the leadership inborn or not, it’s just about how badly you wanted it. Leadership skill can be learned, that’s without a doubt.

Depending on which part of industry you are in whether is it, health, travel, personal development or kitchen appliances, you must educate yourself with that particular knowledge. In another words, you have to “brand” yourself as an expert in your field. Naturally people will be attracted to you and that’s part of being a leader as well.

Writing articles about the industry you are in is one way to brand yourself as an expert in your field. It shows that you know the particular topic well, for instances, health… what essentials is important for healthy and shinny looking skin? (I’m not in health, so I’m just taking this as an example) So you write an article about it and teach people why is it important and how can it do to make you a healthy person.

That’s pretty straight forward right?

When people talks about article marketing, they talk about writing content so that search engines such as Google.com and Yahoo.com will pick up their articles and index them. If you notice that some articles are “spammy” and full of filler content, that’s because they want search engines to pick up the relevant keywords and put their article up. But that’s not how it works anymore, Google search engine is getting more and more sophisticated and “intelligent”, they will filter out any content that are full of irrelevant and unnecessary repetition of keywords.

I always believe in providing the best information you can to your readers and not just to write an article that’s full of keywords and irrelevant information. After all, the person that’s going to read your article is a human not a machine.

Here’s the formula that I use when writing articles.

80% information and content focus and 20% on keywords. Naturally, when you focus more on giving the right and relevant information, you tend to come out with articles that are not only keyword target but also relevant keyword targeted.

Before you move to write anything yet. Do a quick and simple keyword research on topics you intend to write. (Yes, this is the 20% that you need to do) Go to digital point keyword suggestion tool and do a quick research on the topic. The search will throw out some relevant or related keywords that you can use.

So remember the key to writing a good article that people will read (And search engine likes it as well) is to provide valuable information that are useful.

Next week on Monday Night Traffic Series I will share with you the various article directories that you can submit to and mass submission service that I personally uses and also, I will run you through what you need to do when submitting your articles.

Till next Monday.
