What Made Me Choose this Offer?
I choose this offer primarily because I have broad knowledge about dogs and as a proud owner of 2 dogs, I certainly understand the roll and responsibility of a dog owner. Through the books and experiences I have accumulated in dog breeding and basic veterinary care, I understand the genetic risk involve in different breeds as well as other potential illness that can be a very serious problem. I believe that providing information and educating dog owners and cat owners about the importance of pet insurance is crucial and therefore, with my knowledge about dogs and pets, I will be able to bring the information across more effectively.

According to Maps of World, the population of dogs in the USA is 61,080,000 dogs and follow behind is Brazil with 30,051,000 dog. Let’s a give a very conservation estimation that only 20% of the dog population is registered and taken care off, that will be about 12,216,000 dogs which is still a very big market. Moreover, veterinary fees are expensive, dog owners will be more likely to purchase an insurance for their dogs to protect their pets and themselves against unexpected and expensive vet bills.
Get a Domain Name and Autoresponder
Before I go on promoting this service I will get a domain name first. Why? With your own domain name, you can build your own landing page to capture potential customer information. Most of the time, potential buyers won’t buy the very first time and it is very important to capture their information so that you can do subsequent email follow ups. That’s why you need to have a autoresponder service to help manage your prospect and follow-up email campaigns. According to statistic, a buyer will buy after 5 - 7 times after they have seen and understand a product or service. Buy a domain name that is suitable for the market, for this case the domain name have to be related to pet insurance.
Generating FREE Traffic First
The very first step I will do is to generate free traffic. Generating free traffic the fundamental block of the whole traffic generation process. I will not spend on paid traffic initially.
Articles and Blogs Combo
Using articles and blog post can be a very good combination approach. 3 advantage of doing this is, 1) It educates your reader giving them more information 2) Search engine optimization but I will only recommend you to write as though you are talking to someone and lastly 3) It brands you as an expert in this field as a pet insurance expect, your reader will trust you more and higher chances they will buy what you recommend.
Write articles related to dog insurances and post them to article directories such as EzineArticles or GoAritlces and put a link back to your blog or landing page in your resource box. I will structure my article in 2 parts, where the first part will give a brief introduction to, for instance, a topic “Why Pet Insurances is Important?” then linking back to my blog where I will post the second part of the article. This way you are driving healthy traffic to your site to capture potential buyers.
To make things slightly bigger and faster, I will use a mass article distribution service such as ArticleMarketer to blast some of the articles.
Social Networking Sites
This is one more method I will use. There is a very popular dog community call Dogster which have about 400 - 500 new dogs added everyday. However, it is design purely for dog lovers to talk and discuss about dogs and other dog related stuff. It prohibits any kind of advertising. But still it can be done by private messaging and sharing about how a dog insurance can come in handy when in need. This have to be done correctly and not done in a spammy way.
They have Catster too.
Another well known site is MySpace. What I will do is to create a new account specially for dog insurances, search and add members that owns dog. Simply go to the search function and you can find a ton of people that own dogs. After which you can broadcast any news or update about dog insurance. Main thing here is still educating dog lovers about the importance of dog insurances. Never spam, always provide information.
Participating in Forums
Forums is another place where I will go to market this service. In a forum, on every post that you leave on the site you can add your signature to it which is where I will put a description and a link to my dog insurances site. I will never post a reply or thread of the sack of advertising. You probably get ban if you did. Participate in the discussion and blend in with the community.
Free Online Classifieds
In most online free classifieds, there will be a category for pets and animals. I will place ads on a consistent basis for example, once a day on Craigslist and UsFreeAds. Embrace Pet Insurance only works in the US and therefore it will be appropriate to post ads in these 2 online classifieds.
Free Report and Viral Marketing
Last but not least I will create a report about the importance of pet insurance and give it for free on my blog. All they need to do is to optin in exchange for the free report. After the subscriber have opted in, it will bring him to a “Tell a Friend” page and recommend him or her that they should share with their dog or cat friends about getting an insurance protection. They can choose to send their friends an email or to skip the process and go straight to the download page for their report. In my opinion, this is one of the best way to generate good traffic through word of mouth. The free report will also be viral when one dog owner send to 10 other dog owners! When the viral effect kicks in, it can reach up to thousands of pet lovers.
These are the 5 main ways I will use to market Embrace Pet Insurance. They are all free methods, if not cost very little to implement. I will not recommend doing paid ads in the beginning because of the cost. As more sales are generated, then only will I look into PPC and banner advertising.
