Its the third day of the Lunar New Year and I had a great time visiting my relatives and friends. I was having a great time… collecting packets of cause
(For friends who do not know: During the Lunar New Year, the elder or married couples will give red packets which contain some money in them as a form of blessing and good luck).
Today I went to a friend’s place for steamboat lunch and the food good. We were all chatting and asking one another, “Whats your new year resolution?”.
One said, “He would want to get marry”. That’s fine. He probably need to find the right lady first.
Another said, “I hope to strike lottery!”. I wanted to tell him that he won’t get rich by striking a lottery but I didn’t want to spoil the mood though so I kept quiet.
Then one last guy said, “I want to get a well paying JOB, this so and so company is paying me too little and I can’t buy the car I want with that money.”
I smiled as I know very well that a J.O.B will not make you more money, it only keeps you from making more, you know - job security.
So…
Here’s my point, its different now from 20 - 30 years back and there is no more such things as job security. Your company may retrench you anytime just because they need to downsize.
Do you know what J.O.B means? It simply means loosing your ability to set your own value one your time and effort. Or some say it mean, Just Over Broke.
If you are someone who love getting the same paychecks after paychecks then a J.O.B will do fine for you…
But…
If you are someone wanting to make more money, be rich, have more time freedom and not to worry over money, a J.O.B is not going to get you there. I would suggest you to do something different.
I’m not asking you to quit you J.O.B right away but to explore other possibilities at the same time first.
Imagine 10 years from now, how much would you be worth? Will you be getting the same paycheck? Don’t let a J.O.B take your dreams away.
The fact is a J.O.B won’t take you to where you want to be. We all have dreams, if you are just like me who has your own big dream. The good news is you are just an ACTION away from achieving it. So take ACTION now.
