Do you have a network marketing business offline or online? It doesn’t matter what type of mlm business you are in, you need to establish a constant communication with your downlines. Most of the time online network marketers thinks that since they are online, they do not need to communicate to their team members. That’s totally wrong, in fact by doing so, you could be destroying your team.
If you haven’t been talking or emailing your team member, you better do so right after you finish reading this article.
So is it really tough to talk and communicate with your team members?
It’s only a matter of taking your initiative to pick up a phone to call them or send them an email to ask how are they progressing. As a leader in your network marketing business, you have to be constantly inspecting what you are expecting. Never let your team members off alone - most of the time if they are left alone they will stop building their business especially for those who are not self motivated.
Give your team members goals to accomplish. Ask your member questions like, “How many people are you going to talk to do this week?” or “How many people are you going to follow up in a day?”. In a way you are committing them in building their business.
A leader is also a follower too! If you are unable to follow you are not able to lead - that’s it! How can a leader be able to lead when he doesn’t know how to listen to people, no one will respect that kind of leader. So remember! To lead is to follow!
By establishing constant communication in a network marketing team, you establishes leadership and culture which is very crucial in the overall team building effort. Imagine a basketball match where all the players on court playing are not talking to one another, how can they play a good game, don’t even think about winning? They need to talk, shout, yell or whatever to get message across.
Obviously I don’t encourage anyone to yell or shout, I’m just taking basketball as an example and I know they yell and shout during a typical ball game.
Ok let’s sum it up. If you want your team to grow, you have to talk to your team members on a regular basis - especially to your leaders on your team.
Keep them around the campfire!
