Amazing! Young Girl at 9 Get Out of Rat Race in 2hrs!

Have you heard of the financial [tag]board game[/tag] [tag]Cashflow 101[/tag] by [tag]Robert Kiyosaki[/tag]?

Last week I introduce my little cousin girl, Jocelyn, who is only 9 years old to the board game Cashflow 101. Strangely, a girl at her age should be playing Barbie dolls but she was really keen on playing Cashflow 101.

So together with my girlfriend, three of us started playing the game. We play for an hour and my little cousin girl has to go home. We ended the game. Initially I thought she would be bore by the game but she turn out to love the game a lot! Before I could say anything further, she wants to come back to play the game.

I was shock of course, even my girlfriend was. Before she left I told her to go to one of RichDad sites to play some online games.

She came back the next day and was ready to play the game Cashflow! Before we started off our second session of Cashflow 101, she told me that she have completed all the levels in www.richkidsmartkid.com, from Grade k-2 to Grade 12. That’s amazing, her willingness to learn and take action virtually skyrocketed off the roof!

She is learning fast and what she is doing now, remind me of Robert Kiyosaki when he was young, always wanting to know more about money and how to make more of them. It’s a great start for Jocelyn!

We went on with the game. She is really picking up things fast, she bought [tag]stocks[/tag] during the game at a low price and sold them off at a high price, invested in [tag]real estate[/tag] and have a [tag]passive income[/tag] of $260 only on your eighth turn! All I told her right from the start was, she need to increase her passive income more then her expenses to get out of the Rat Race! And unlike others, she hates it when she steps on [tag]Doodad[/tag] - she knew that those are unnecessary money to spend.

Here’s a picture taken from my mobile phone camera.

The lady on the left is my girlfriend, May and on the right is OF COURSE Jocelyn.

It’s a satisfying moment to have share with May and Jocelyn about the game of money. Bottom line is that, all of us are learning as we play the game and Jocelyn is on her way to a GREAT start.

If you have play the game Cashflow 101. Share it with your children or friends!

I’ll post Jocelyn’s [tag]income statement[/tag] soon, need to get it back from her.

To your success,

Hi, thanks for writing about this. I have recently bought the game and played a few rounds. (Wasn’t as successful as Jocelyn tho.) May I ask concerning certain elements in the game? Perhaps my question may sound stupid to you, but may I know what good does the “Preferred Stock - 2Big Power” really do if it is sold at $1200 but it yields dividends of only $10/mth?
Thanks!

Hi Peter & Yen,

2Big Power may not sound good to you if you have only $10,000 cash on hand. But what if you have $10,000,000 cash on hand. How many share of 2BIG Power can you buy? Think about that.

Cashflow is a dynamic game and its a mimic of real life. There’s no right or wrong move, it depends on your situation.

Terry
