Guess what? When I was out yesterday, I got 7 things to talk about and I jot down my ideas on my idea note pad. Taking time off relaxing can help you get new ideas!
If you are wondering where IKEA Singapore is located at, it’s along Alexandra Road right opposite of Anchor Point Shopping center. Since we were going shopping there, we decided to have lunch at the IKEA’s restaurant. It’s not the usual fine dining restaurant you will see in town. It’s layout is more of a casual dining style and you got to go queue to buy your food. Nothing really glamorous but still the food is tasty.
Swedish Meatball

The first dish that came to our mind was MEATBALL. IKEA is famous for their Swedish Meatball (That’s in Singapore, I’m not sure what is it like in other countries). It’s a little messy on the presentation but the meatballs tasted very tasty especially when you mix the jam and the sauce with the meatball.
Pouch Salmon

Argh! Another messy presentation. But heck, the fish taste good. My girlfriend had this dish. I’m salmon fanatic and love all types of salmon dishes. If the sauce didn’t cover the broccoli, I believe the dish would look “nicer”.

Chicken Leg with Swedish Herbs

I’m not sure what herbs they use but the chicken meat was tender and tasty. The chicken leg was covered with sauce (which I believe was made of herbs) which tasted “herb”. The taste was just ok, not too strong.
It ain’t a very expensive meal, the bill was $29 Singapore dollars after discount (May has IKEA membership) but we end up spending $259 buying a whole lot of stuff from IKEA. IKEA’s concept is really brilliant, a furniture company with an “ok” restaurant that’s normally full even during weekdays. In many ways, they are very innovative and creative. No wonder I got many ideas when I was at IKEA.
